Radiant Queen 3

The series Botticelli's Angel is our tribute to the famous artworks of the Italian designer Sandro Botticelli whose works represent the linear grace of Early Renaissance painting. Small details from his very large canvases have been isolated into frieze like works of art embossed and embellished with embroidery by craftsmen of Kolkata, Chennai and Punjab using techniques such as Jacobean, Turkish, French and Crewel embroidery giving them a third dimension. Contemporary motifs have been entwined with Botticelli’s ornate portraits to bring these works to life in a modern context.
