Tips to create perfect Kid’s room

Kids are little bundles of joy and for them we want to give the best we can. We never compromise when it comes to kids. While decorating their room we want what they will love the most. Their comfort is everything we want.
While decorating a kid’s room we have to be very creative, also creating a perfect kids room can be very time consuming. Kids grow up fast and they get bored of everything very quickly. They can very easily get bored of the décor that you have created for them and the idea of redecorating and redoing the room once every 2-4 years is not very appealing to most of us. Also, most of us don’t have enough resources to create the rooms that we see in the movies.

Here are some tips to create a perfect kids room that grows with them.

Pick some urbane colours

While decorating a kid’s room we think of covering the walls with bright colours thinking that our kids will love it, but in reality it leads them to lose interest in that. Kids are fickle minded and their favourite colour keeps on changing, so instead choose some classy, sophisticated and elegant colours to cover up the walls. Use two to three different shades and try not to overwhelm the room. You can also use wallpapers to cover the walls, so when your kid gets bored of the existing one, you can change it without burning a hole in your pocket.

A flexible room decor

Try to have a flexible room décor; do not fill the room with kid sized décor. You don’t want to redecorate the room every 2-3 years. Your kids will love the fairy themed or the superhero-themed décor but will eventually get bored of it. Go for furniture that can be used for a long period of time. You can easily find convertible cribs that can be later on converted to a teen’s bed. This way you save the hassle of buying a new bed every few years.

A neutral backdrop

Science has proven that children get bored far more easily that the grownups. Create a neutral backdrop. You can use shades of grey and off-white for the backdrop for boys’ room and you can use shades of baby blue or baby pink as a backdrop for girls’ room.

The rugged affair

As you are keeping the room as simple as you can, play with the rugs. Use different themed rugs. You can use Barbie or princess themed rugs for girls and some super hero themed rug for boys. You can buy different themed rugs from bentchair.com; they have a range of rugs just for kids. They have products like balloons rug, numbers rug, dog house rug, etc. And your kids will surely love them.

Sleeping beauties

Use themed bedding that matches the rest in the room. Having themed rugs and bedding will not make the room monotonous. Kids bedding is the most important thing that you will have in your kid’s room. The first thing to keep in mind before you buy bedding is how comfortable it is. Go for washable beddings. Kids love to play and they don’t care about what a mess their surrounding has become or hoe dirty the room is. Washable bedding makes it easy for you; you can have more than one set of bedding and use them interchangeably. You can beautiful washable bedding from bentchair.com. They have an excellent range of kids bedding that your kids will love for sure.

The storage option

Kids love to spend most of their time playing, therefore there is a need for having a good storage option. Instead of toy boxes, use wall mounted bookshelves or wicker baskets for storage and display. A bookshelf can be used to display his/her toys and beyond a certain age, he can replace them with different books he likes.

So here’s a kids room that evolves with time. Yes, you will have to change the curtains the walls, etc. Every two to three years, but that will take less effort and less resources.
