We have already started selecting rakhis for our brothers and can’t wait to empty their pockets. We are oh-so sure about the calorie intake on this particular day. From pancakes to pizzas to waffles we are ready for the spree. Rakhi , initially meant to understand that brothers are our saviors. What it’s meant now is a little different. Not only brothers but also sisters are buzzing to make their brothers as special as they can.

1. Go to the salon together
Book an appointment for a haircut together and give yourselves a charming look this Rakhi. You both need to pamper each other, as there is no better way to tell that you care. It’s that time of the year when you both are together and can take lots of selfies. Grooming yourself for the day is the perfect way to celebrate.
2. A weekend getaway
We all know that Rakhi is on a Monday but we also know that we crave for a short weekend getaway. Who else can be better that your partner in crime to go on a short road trip with on Rakhi’s weekend. Plan a trip to some nearby resort or hill station. Have a fun time chilling with each other over crazy songs. There can never be a better moment than two insane heads having the best time of their lives.
3. Plan a house party Rakhi celebration
When we all are so engrossed in the hustle and bustle of life, we hardly get any time to relive our childhood memories. We all can plan the day with our cousins and dear sisters and brothers. There’s no place like home and no better day than Rakhi. Decorate your house with fairy lights, coloured cushions and a beautiful swing. Get ready with favourite cuisine and refreshing drinks. 4. Be at each other’s disposal
For a day you can ditch your regular choices and pick theirs. For brothers, yes we know it’s irksome to shop with girls but we also know you love your sisters way too much. For sisters, if not participate but can pretend to like those video games for them. Try and make them feel as if they are with their best friend. Be each others companion and make memories because this time never comes back.
5. Cook for each other
We have spent endless evenings in pizza huts and CCDs. Let’s shift to the basics but the best. Why not cook their favourite dishes; be it a pancake with bananas and strawberries or chocolate dripping waffles. The fun in the kitchen is actually irreplaceable. Enjoy the little mis happenings on the dining table with your loved ones.
